‘bluetooth speaker’ 3D PRINTED DESIGN

This was a bit of a fun project that I did for an elective class, it was an industrial design first year unit i did to try something new. We were tasked with creating and working on making a 3D printed bluetooth speaker. We were supplied with the speakers and amplifier board. I used CAD software for the first time and utilised this software to create the shell of the speaker. I was inspired by Virgil Abloh and the work he did when he was the creative director for Louis Vuitton. I was inspired by on of his fashion pieces he created for a bag which was one of the Louis Vuitton flower emblems as a 3D piece. I took this inspiration and turned it into the design of my speaker with “BLUETOOTH SPEAKER” on the side of the speaker as this is something that Abloh is known in his designs. I wanted the speaker to be a decorative piece as well so that is also why i opted to create a more abstract non-traditional looking speaker.
